Retail Sales Associate in Honolulu, HI
This is a full-time position at our International Market Place location, and you MUST be available to work weekends and holidays. Some skills that will be essential to success in this role are precise attention to detail, customer based and team player mentality, great verbal and written communication, follow through, time management, and the ability to learn new things quickly and follow directions.
Your responsibilities will include answering phones, greeting and developing relationships with customers, following through with sales leads and orders, inventory counts, general merchandising, cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the store, and many other support responsibilities.
Required skills that will be essential to success in this role are:
• Proven work experience as a Retail Sales associate, Sales representative, or similar role.
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
• Proficiency in English.
• Basic Math skills.
• Track record of over-achieving sales quota.
• Hands-on experience with POS transactions.
• Familiarity with inventory procedures.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
• A friendly and energetic personality with a customer service focus.
• Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner.
• Availability to work flexible shifts.
• High school degree: BS degree in Marketing or related field would be a plus.
• Punctual and hungry for success
Responsibilities include:
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Follow and achieve the department's sales goals on a monthly, quarterly & yearly basis.
• “Go the extra mile” to drive sales.
• Actively seek out customers in store
• Remain knowledgeable about products offered and discuss available options.
• Process POS (point of sale) purchases
• Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service.
• Build productive trust relationships with customers.
• Comply with inventory control procedures.
• Welcoming customers into the store.
• Staying knowledgeable about our jewelry line.
• Explaining the benefits and functions of our jewelry, knowledge of how we build each piece and how to use it to achieve the best results.
• Accepting and processing orders, operating the POS register and resolving returns issues.
• Working with a small team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment to achieve a common goal.
